Order and Packing slip printouts

Postby megantrever » Wed Apr 21, 2010 10:57 am

The default seems to be a wide format, but we need to print our invoices and packing lists on 8.5x11 paper. How do I adjust the width of these two documents? Also, my client would like the invoices and packing lists to look similar to the ones on Quickbooks. Is this possible?

TIA

On the Orders screen there is a Configure button. When you click that it opens a screen where you can configure how the Orders and Packing Slips format. You can add css or html that will change the font size, font type, etc. Just experiment with it a bit and you can make lots of changes.

The basic layout of the order and billing is set although you can modify it somewhat as described above. I don't know what the QuickBooks format is like so you would have to see if you can use the above to get that look.

You can also download orders in Tab or xml format and then use some other application to format the output as you want.

So I can't make the entire format narrower, so that it all prints on an 8.5 sheet of paper? Because right now, the entire left edge is being cut off. Including the prices!(?)

OK, as usual, operator error. I had placed a <div> at the bottom to hold a graphic, which was too wide.

Without making any modifications an order prints out with about 3/4 " margins on each size of the table.

Can you tell what part is forcing the width to exceed the page width? Maybe really long product names or sku etc.

What version of ShopSite( 8, 9, 10 etc) and what product level (pro, manager starter) YOu can get that info from the footer of the page when you click on the ShopSite tab in the top navigation area.

I got it fixed. I had made a div at the bottom to hold a graphic that was too wide. Made the whole business smaller and it works just fine. Thanks again.
