links color on shopping cart using swish on white

Postby johnbiggscr » Wed Mar 17, 2010 10:03 am

I am trying to customize the template for our site (current template is swish on white) and on a test main page I have pretty much what I want but when I preview the shopping cart the navigation links remain the blue our site currently is rather than black that I have changed our test site too.
When we click the confirmation button, the header div graphic totally disappears from that next page ( I changed the header entry of the swish-wt.css to display a graphic as the background)

I have gone through all the pages I thought controlled the way these appeared but to no avail.
Does anyone know where I can find the place that determines the color of the nav links on the shopping cart page and/or where I can put the code to display the graphic used in the header div on the confirmation page?

I hope I explain this fully enough.
I am using shopsite manager 10 by the way.

ok I finally managed to discover how to set the link colors with a lot of trial and error.
I am still stuck with the issue of the header graphic not appearing on the checkout, confirm, and thank you pages.

I currently have the following set in the swish-wt.css file to enable a background graphic for the header.
#header {
overflow: hidden;
height: 271px;
max-height: 271px;
background-image: url('/media/<name of graphic>.jpg');
background-position; top left;
background-repeat: no-repeat;}

We also have an entry in the header section of layout settings section of preferences that just contains our phone number.
We use the header div tag to set an image upon which the nav links, company logo and phone number will appear on.
The links, logo and phone number all appear ok, it is just the background image itself that does not appear.

Have you looked in the online help that tells about how each ShopSite supplied template works?
http://www.shopsite.com/templates/cookb ... ates.shtml

Find the template you are trying to modify and see if the help gives you specific information about the area you are having problems with.

Where is your store hosted? The confirmation, checkout and thank you pages all are using a secure url. You must make sure that references to images on those pages use a secure url. What the secure location of your images is will depend on how your host has configured their server.

It was a secure url issue in the end. My hosting company suggested I use the full https url in the link to the image and it worked.
