Multiple Order Bars

When you land on my shopping cart, then continue shopping and then to the shopping cart again, it adds an order bar (quantity, price etc) each time. I only have one product. Can I prevent multiple order bars from appearing?

If the same product is added a second time, a second line item will appear. The cart will not combine the line items into one.
