Custom Shopping Cart Template not refreshing

Postby abaldeon » Mon Jan 25, 2010 1:06 pm

Hello,
For some reason, my custom shopping cart template is not refreshing. It's been while since I upgraded our cart and the changes go through a few of the pages, but then it seems to stop at the shipping page.

I've gone through my code and the code is correct. But my browser isn't reflecting the changes. I've tried Safari, Firefox and IE.

My site is http://www.emb-collection.com. Can anyone give me some pointers?

Thanks.

Your cart is not using a custom template. It is using the ShopSite provided template, elite_001_sc_template.sst

Have you enabled your custom template on Commerce Setup > Order System > Layout info?

Hi Jim,
I switched it out to see if it would work. The template shopping cart works, but I need to keep working on my custom template.

Thanks.

The custom one looks nice. I tried to place an order and got an error message going from the billing screen to the confirmation screen.
==============
Please specify a valid value for the
Pickup at EuroMotorcars Bethesda
==============

Since the confirmation screen automatically redirects back to the billing screen if there is an error I can't see what type of script you have that would be returning that Pickup message. It appears that that is a shipping option with a 0.00 price on the first shopping cart screen but if I select either it or a UPS shipping method I still get the same error. Check and see what your javascript is doing in the Confirmation section of your template.

Note that it might be nice to have the Confirm button be the same color as the Continue Checkout on the first cart screen. (As a personal preference red to me means stop so having a red Checkout button is kind of a warning sign)
