Alt Tags on Multi Images

I installed the new multiple image feature. Is there a way to add captions to the pictures aka alt tags? I'd like to show multiple pictures on some of my products, but it is totally useless if I can't describe what is being shown.

I have inserted all the details including alternative text in the image section, but when I view the source code all details are missing, no alt tags, heigth, width, etc.

Is there an easy way to work around this without having to strip the template and hardcode the alt tags for each page?
