Disallow order completion if shipping choice not available

I've had an issue occur twice in the past week.

A customer in Canada orders several items and goes to checkout. They select USPS as a shipping option. In SHIPPING a message says "USPS shipping calculation not available. Please use UPS for Shipping." and next to that in the total amount it lists the default handling amount we add to each order, in this case $1.80. The customer is then allowed to finish the order with that $1.80 being the only shipping charges.

We're using the Lexi-Conn cgi shipping add-on for USPS, if that makes any difference.

I need for orders to NOT be allowed to complete if the customer has chosen a shipping method not available to them. Is this possible?

UPDATE: The USPS choice remains an option in the pull-down menu, even though it's not a legitimate choice, with the price of $1.80. I need for this to NOT appear as a choice when Canada is selected.

Any thoughts?

Check with Lexiconn since it is their shipping module.

Got a new USPS script from LexiConn -- apparently USPS made some recent changes -- and that completely solved the problem.

Oh, and btw, if anyone is ever considering using a cgi from LexiConn, do it. These folks are the most responsive team I've ever worked with.
