Automatically send license code to customers?

Hi,

I sell a product that is delivered digitally. Using ShopSite, I can automatically send a link to the .exe file to the customer. However, each customer also needs a unique product activation key to activate the product. Currently, I manually send these keys to the customers after I process their orders. This is a bit of a hassle. I would like to be able to have the unique product activation key automatically sent out by ShopSite. Ideally, I would upload a list of keys that correspond to each product, then ShopSite would send out one key per customer.

Is this possible? If not, can anyone recommend a different solution?

There is no built in way to send a key in addition to the product link.

Are you automatically sending the download link when the order is placed? What payment method are you using? If anything other than credit card that is actually captured at the time of the order you probably don't want to send the key until after the payment is received.

You could use the OrderAPI functionality and create a script/program that sends the key when the order is placed.
