Price groups - it's working but is it possible to do this...

We are running V.10

We sell a baby seat that comes with a cover... an all inclusive item. We want to offer a second cover (only) at time of seat purchase for a discounted rate on that 2nd cover only. The price group accomplishes this - BUT....

... if the shopper adds 2 covers only to their cart (and doesn't purchase the baby seat) the discounted rate kicks in on the cover. (we have the group setup to be when 2 items are in cart - display discounted rate on cover).

Is there a way to limit the discount on the covers so it only kicks in if the baby seat is being purchased?

You could add the 2nd cover as an option on the baby seat at a reduced price instead of an individual product. That way they could only get the discount if they purchased the baby seat.

Then remove the group discount off the regular product so they will not get a discount if they purchase 2 covers.
