can i use a php file with the order api?

It appears that the Order API is sending all the information to the Custom CGI Filename in a POST request. I tried using a simle PHP program instead of a CGI file, but get an Internal Server Error when going to the thank you screen.

Am I doing something wrong, or is it just not possible to use a php file in the Order API Custom CGI Filename?

Sure, you can use a PHP script as an order API. Reference:

Make sure it's executable, and grabs the POSTed data correctly as described in the above thread.
