Timeouts on large download product files

One of our stores deals in downloadable image files, some of them can be quite large, up to 150MB. As a result, we experience timeouts on a regular basis.

We moved our servers to a co-lo that vastly expanded our bandwidth, and we have fewer problems, but they still persist.

Is there anything I could do in ShopSite or in my servers to minimize this issue?

Any advise appreciated.

Is it a Windows server? If so, you can increase the CGI Timeout setting (if it is a Windows 2003 server, then you will have to do this via a commandline script).
