Taxes applied before the coupon discount

Hi, i am using Shopsite version 10 r7 and i'm having a problem with the way sales taxes are applied after a coupon rebate has been used.

The sales taxes are always applied to the cart value "before" the coupon rebate. It does'nt matter if i refresh the cart or not.

For example, if i'm applying a 49.94$ rebate coupon to a 49.95$ order, taxes are calculated on the full value and not on 0.01$ as it should.

How can i fix that ?

According to the following Shopsite help, it should be doing what i want but doesnt:

Tax is calculated on the purchase amount after the discount is taken.

Looks like this is just an issue with the new (for ShopSite v10) VAT tax method. Try using the tax-by-zip or shopper-selected tax methods instead until it can be fixed for VAT in a future version.

Note that often tax-by-zip or shopper-selected tax will be better for Canadian merchants anyway, since it would allow you to define different tax rates for shoppers who would need to pay only GST vs. those that need to pay GST and PST. With the VAT method, one tax rate is defined that will apply to the whole country (and to all countries for which VAT is enabled in the Country list). So you couldn't have different tax rates by area (unless there are areas which are completely exempt from tax, which the VAT method can handle).
