suggestion... auto populate billing zip and country with shipping info from 1st shopping cart screen (similar to how the shipping zip and country are auto populated).
rationale:
1) if the customers shipping and billing addresses are the same and the customer clicks the check mark to indicate that...the shipping info is greyed out and the billing information is not populated with the shipping zip and country. The system then thinks the shipping zipcode has been changed and even if the customer puts in the correct billing zipcode to match the ship code, they will get the error msg "your shipping zipcode has changed. please return to the last page of your shopping cart". They then have to go back a screen, recalculate, then return to the cart. For some customers, this cycle can repeat many times because they don't understand that by wiping out the shipping information, they are in fact changing the zipcode.
2) if the ship and bill addresses are different, most likely the country is the same for both and sometimes the zipcode is the same. Therefore, defaulting the billing zip and country to the shipping information, may save the customer some clicks to proceed through the checkout process.
having this enhancement will alleviate some customer confusion/frustration and reduce the number of error msgs generated.
can this be scheduled for the next release? or maybe this behavior is already available if I modify my back office settings??
