How do I . . .

Postby Peter Gregg » Tue Sep 15, 2009 2:47 pm

I have 6 different products all at $44.00 each.

I want to have a sale and send it in an email blast that allows them to buy 1 at 10% off, or buy 2 at 20% off, or buy 3 at 30% off.

Or buy one at $39.60, 2 at $35.20 each, or 3 at $30.80 each.

I can do it if they buy 3 of the same exact product, but I don't know how to let them mix and match any 3 they want, or any 2 they want, or buy just 1.

I tried adding a product that lets them choose up to 3 different ones buy the price doesn't change.

I need some help.

Thanks,
Peter

PS I tried coupons but people pick the 20% coupon for the 1 item and then get nothing off because the 20% coupon is set for 2 or more items.

This would be done by the quantity pricing groups feature.

You create a group that you assign to each product.
You set up the quantity pricing table for each product for quantity 1,2,3,etc with the associated price/sale price.

When items are added to the cart they are checked to see if they are in the same group and if they are then they will have the quantity price assigned to that quantity for the specific products.
