Formating email order Receipts

Postby cyberspun » Thu Jul 30, 2009 1:47 pm

Is there anyway to format how the receipt looks? Say for example you wanted the Quantity to be next the the SKU? Is there any way to do this?

Thanks!

Shopsite Receipt Format

The Receipt format is editable in the Shopping Cart template.

It appears in the [-- DEFINE ThankYou_Email --] section of the template code.

The information you are referring to is added by the [-- SC_Cart --] tag. Per the Shopsite Tag Help, you can rearrange the order of the elements in this table by editing the tag as follows:

[-- SC_Cart delete quantity name sku price total --]

putting the fields in the order you desire.

Hope that helps.

Note that the text version of the receipt does not use the template tags so it will probably not be possible to change the order on text emails.

Thanks You, that does work on the receipt for the cart. I was trying to format the email coming out of SS. Any way to do that?

Thank You

Did you modify the [-- SC_CART --] tag in the [-- DEFINE ThankYou_Email --] section?

That works for me as long as the Email is being sent in HTML. It will not work on the merchant copy of the receipt since that is text based and can't be changed. It also will not work for a text based email to the shopper.
You enable HTML shopper receipts on the Commerce Setup > Order System > Thankyou screen.
