Redirecting a shopsite store to another.

Just wondering what would be the best way for now to redirect a shopsite store I closed to one that is still open so I don't lose all my links I worked so hard on? Should I do a server side redirect and hope for the best or take the time to make each page open the same page in my open store and keep that site going thru Christmas season. We have explained that any orders will be shipped from our base store. ANY OPINIONS WELCOME....
