Add own buttons to Customer Registration Custom Template

I am just wondering how do i add my own buttons for the customer registration template as i see some of the tags are like this "[-- BUTTON Done --]". But i would like to know how my own button will be able to have the functionality of "[-- BUTTON Done --]" like maybe a way of calling a function, etc. Thanks

You can modify the text or buttons used in the registration process on Preferences > Store Text > Customer registration.
It is not possible to add additional functionality to the actual registration screens though.

If i do not use the text buttons, can i use my own buttons?

Yes, just select them on the Preferences screen. They will have to be uploaded to your site and in the media directory (or a sub directory of it) You can upload them under the Images screen.
