Image Resize

Postby midfin » Mon Oct 27, 2008 11:40 am

My client is inputting products and she tried to change her choice of image size on the product more information page, however, the image is not resizing.

Here is the link: http://65.18.171.175/index.html

I tested this myself on the dalmation which you can click on from the home page. I set the image to be extra small, however, it is still the same size.

The image URL is http://65.18.171.175/media/ss_size2/dalmation.jpg so it should be whatever size you defined for size two. It is currently 125x125. If this is not the size you currently have defined for size two, then this resized image was likely created before the you most recently changed the size for size 2, so you should go to the Images menu, select the dalmation.jpg image, and click the Create Resized Images button and it should re-create the resized images with whatever new dimensions you currently have defined for them. Then you should regenerate the store pages from Utilities ->Publish.

Also note that the More Info Page is being created by a custom product template called 'product', so if you are choosing a different size for the Product Graphic than the More Info Page Graphic but they are both showing up as the Product Graphic size, then it is possible that in your custom template the DEFINE MORE_INFO_PAGE section is using the [-- PRODUCT.Graphic --] tag instead of the tag specific to the More Info Page Graphic setting.

I fixed the tag in the product more information code but it still isn't working. There also doesn't seem to be any resized images in the ss_size1, ss_size2 and ss_size3 folders in the media folder. Is there something else I am missing?

I think it might be working now.
