Need Custom Tracking note in SS

Postby MgmtSpec » Tue Oct 21, 2008 2:38 pm

I need the ability to add custom tracking notes and have these linked to orders in SS. Each order may have multiple notes. These notes should show Date, Subject and Text Input. They may contain things like tracking numbers, back order info, phone call notes.

Not interesting in MOM or Stone Edge add on.

Does the description of the 'Order Status Module' listed by Lexiconn on the ShopSite Add-on Modules page sound like what you are looking for?

I check into that. Doesn't exactly meet the needs but would probably work. Just need to have it installed at pair.

Need Custom Tracking Note in SS

Just curious...why does the Order Status module from Lexiconn not "exactly meet the needs"? It seems to cover all the functionalities you listed in your initial post....

Good question!

Minro is the 'notes' area is quite small and increasing the size of the input/display area should be possible but might be a bit of work.

More important is that they wanted to have EACH note listed as a line item such as:
Date - Subject - Details
Rather than appended in a single area.

This display would make it quick and easy to see all notes for an order at a glance. For this client it is often they have 6 notes or more per order.

At any rate, I'm going to give it a try and looking forward to see how it works.
