Are there any issues with sending to Google the data feed with xml format. I am using Shopsite manager 8.3. It says it made the XML file with no errors. Google says it is not recieving the feed in a format the can read.

Yes there are problems with Google Base data feeds if you are using a version of ShopSite before 9.0.3.

Google made changes to what they required and the format that some of the data needs to be in in March of 2008. No patches have been issued for any version previous to 9.0.3 because of the amount of change required to the code. You can see more details in the ShopSite knowledge base article at

The only solution is to upgrade to the latest version of ShopSite 9.0.3 and apply the patches mentioned in the kbase article.

I can not get an upgrade from Ipower it only HA HA supports 8.3 and the do not know when the will upgrade to ver 9. What are my options?

If they won't upgrade you to 9.0.3 I see only 2 options
1. Move to a different host
2. don't use the feature.

I am paying over $ 300.00 dollars a year to use shopsite. I don't think shopsite should allow ipower to sell an outdated verson. If I had known I was getting an outdated verson I would have looked for a different provider. I just signed up for Ipower and had to pay for a whole year. I have also seen other post about Ipower support and they are not up to speed on shopsite. Shipping is another problem I can not use USPS in ver. 8.3. Nice to be a year behind everyone else.

Sorry to hear about your issue with your host. We use Verio for our Shopsite host and they upgraded us overnight with just an email request. Although we had some issues with them before, they have seemed to have those cleared up. We also pay significantly more that your paying.
