new to shopsite 8.3/web hosting issues

Postby anitatx08 » Mon Jun 16, 2008 7:02 am

I have signed up with IPower and used 8.3 pro version. My web site was up and running and then have issues with the google site map.New pages generated after the web site is "live" have issues as well, the problems are associated with html file. The error message is could not open/home/user...... public_html/store/page35.html,errno, permission denied. I think goggle site map and my domain pointer is the issue that causing the problem. The technical support that answered the phone is useless because I know more than they do. Any higher technical support is only available through emails, no phone calls, it can take up to 7 days or more to resolve any issues. Right now my web site home page is there, but none of the icon on the left side bars is working. The link is not showing up. I just don't know what to do.

I am seriously thinking about changing to another web hosting company for the shopsite. I know Lexiconn is a great company with support. I can't afford paying $100 at this time.Ipower is charging $43 for pro 8.3.

I want to find out a good hosting company with support. Techncial support is a major concern to me because I have very limited knowledge. Can anyone here has any suggestion. Thank you so much.

Lexiconn has curteous and wonderful support. I found out the hard way that you get what you pay for. I nevered used ipower for my shopsite site but I used them for another site. They made some major changes and the site was down constantly and NO customer support even via email. You have to weigh the importance of good support or cheap hosting. IMHO

I changed to LexiConn yesterday.

I did change to LexiConn yesterday. The change was very smooth and they have my site running in about 6-8 hours. I won't recommend IPower to anyone. It was horrible. I know more about shopsite than most of the support group.

I do like LexiConn support, they are prompt and timely and the best part is they know what they are doing.

Thank you for all the input and have a great day.
