CSS to modify highlight color for drop downs/radio buttons

Postby margeau » Fri May 30, 2008 4:17 pm

This is a long shot, but my client wants the highlight color specified by the individual users' computer settings to be able to be specified. Is there any way with CSS that will allow me to control this color?

Any help would be much appreciated.

You might want to do a web search for css styles for form fields which radio buttons and dropdown lists would be. Note that each type of browser displays them differently so you might have a hard time getting them to look the same in all browsers.

Try this link which shows some differences.

Thanks very much, I will try that now.

The same client is also unhappy with the fact that (in explorer only) some of the input fields for billing and shipping addresses on the Shipping page are ivory instead of white.

I imagine if I can solve one problem I can solve them both.
