Problems running reports

Postby kj61 » Sun Apr 13, 2008 11:17 am

When I attempt to access reports I receive the following message:

Can't determine newest log file - two or more have the same modification time. Please check your log file directory. Using the UNIX command 'touch' on the newest log file may solve your problem.

Any assistance is welcomed and greatly appreciated.

This is something you should talk with your host about. They would be the ones that know what the proper log file would be. Once you know which file to use, make sure that that is the one that is configured in ShopSite.

If this is on a windows server then the UNIX touch command would not be relevant.

I am having the same issue. I did not have this problem until about mid March, which was the last time reports ran properly.

How will we know which one is the most relevant ones?

My host will not allow me access to the shopsite directory, so I cannot check the timestamps at all. Should we rely on their judgement and the file size?

If your host won't give you server access then you will have to trust them as to which one to use.
