Donate checkbox at checkout

Is there a way to add a "donate $1" checkbox to the checkout process?
This particular client only has shopsite manager but they have a laundry list of requests, and I may suggest pro. So if you know of how to do it in either I'd appreciate any help.

The only way I can think to do this in a manager store would be to put an orderanywhere link in the cart so the shopper could add a product (donation) that costs a dollar to the cart.

In a Pro level store you could do the above or use the surcharge feature to allow the shopper to select that they want to donate a dollar.

In either pro or manager I don't think you could make it a simple checkbox.
