SC Giving Me a ITAS: no reg! Message

Postby royhink » Wed Feb 27, 2008 5:03 pm

This is a new 9.0 install on our own server. We have 2 other ShopSite stores (8.3 upgraded to 9 but not activated)

Can you tell me what this error message indicates?

Thanks,

Roy

It isn't one that I am familiar with. When are you getting the message? Adding to the cart, going from the cart to the billing screen, going to customer registration?

Did the shopping cart work when you initially installed it, or is this a more recent development? If it has been this way from the beginning, then I would suggest re-installing.

If this is a more recent problem and there is too much data already in this store to re-install it, then you should start checking in your filesystem backups of the ShopSite Data Directory to find an aa file (for example, sbdata.aa, shipdata.aa, taxdata.aa, cr.aa, etc) from one of the backups that is quite a bit bigger than one in the current data directory, because I believe this error could be caused by missing settings in one of the aa config files.

Also, is the server now (or recently) out of diskspace, or is this site user now (or recently) over their disk usage quota? If so, you should resolve the disk space/quota issues before re-installing or trying to restore any .aa files.

The site did work initially. I set up the sc template last week and it worked fine. The error message came up during a final run thru before populating the store with product.

I'm still setting the store up, and only have 5 products in the store, although all 550 pages are in and the store graphics and navigation is up.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by my 'file system backup'. I've done a shopsite store backup that produced a .dat file, and the server backup has not yet been configured to back up the new site.

We're on our own server, and I'm not aware of any 'disk quota' issue. I know we are about to upgrade our server space, since we only have 200 gigs available (my store is all downloaded product and will need 450 gigs)

So, you're saying that either it's a memory issue or a corrupted .aa file?

Is there a memory allocation setting that I am not aware of?

Will the ss restore include the .aa files?

Thanks, I appreciate the help.
