Problem uploading database

Hello,

I'm having trouble uploading a database. This is not my first website using shopsite or my first time uploading a database. Actually I have loaded this database in shopsite manager and am now using pro so the database has changed so I can get better search options. I am using Microsoft Excel to modify the database.

Anyways when the database is uploaded it says:

Warning: There is 1 unmatched upload field.

And when I go in to assign the field there is only one field and it says:

ÿþS - which should be SKU

I've tried just about everthing I can think of. I have even added a blank field to the end of the data base. That has seemed to help in the past.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What format is the file that you are trying to upload? Can you open the file in notepad to see what it looks like?

Note that ShopSite does not import Excel files, only tab-delimited text files (which Excel can export). If you are just trying to upload the raw Excel file (which would look like a bunch of garbage in notepad), then it will not work.

It is a tab delimited text file.

Yes I can open it in note pad and I can't find anything wrong.

I think I found the problem. I was saving as uni code instead of tab delimited.

I will let you know if it works.
