protx payment gateway and version 9

Hi.

I am posting this for info and to help other UK developers who intend to use Protx as the payment gateway.

At the moment you cannot use two UK Cards UK MAESTRO/SOLO

This is a bit of a pain as we have invested quite a few thousand pounds in Shopsite and were very pleased to see the Protx support.

Loren kindly got back to my original e-mail enquiry below, but I would like to know if there is a time scale to resolve this problem.

There is currently no way to collect additional payment data for credit
card types in order to provide it to a gateway. So if there is extra
data required for those credit card types to be processed successfully
by your gateway, then you will not be able to use those credit card
types with your gateway.

If you are processing credit cards manually, or if you set these
particular payment types up via the Generic Payment Options, so that
they are not processed through the gateway, then you could collect this
information in some other field in the shopping cart and use it when you
process the payment manually.
