Product Description Carried to Checkout

Just can't seem to find this but we want to carry the product description to the checkout and invoice page but don't see an option to do that. Comfortable with code so if it's adding a string - easy enough.

The description is not passed to the shopping cart cgi so there is no way that it can be displayed on the shopping cart screens or receipts.

This is an option not officially support by Shopsite but you could use a CALL tag or use the Order API to access the database directly to grab the description and show it. You need to be running Shopsite 8.1 and for the CALL tag you could use PHP or Perl, for Order API to display would have to use Perl, PHP has issues writing output to the screen.
