Recalculate button not working in shopping cart

anyone has had trouble with the recalculate button not working in the shopping cart? I'm using version 8.1, and all the javascript seems to be in place in the error. I receive no javascript errors, but the recalculate button does not update the data. Any ideas???

Did you add your own javascript to the cart, either in the template or through the backoffice settings? If so that might be interfering so try removing it and see if it works then.

Are you using a custom template? If so have you run the html of the page through an html validator to make sure you have the page layout correct, i.e. no nesting issues, comments not properly closed etc.
