Paypal help, total not right

Postby sroehlk » Tue Oct 02, 2007 1:34 pm

I am testing my store and when I use paypal it has a total without shipping. Am I doing something wrong? Shouldn't the total with shipping and tax go to paypal?

Then if I continue it adds $5 for shipping one item then it looks like it is adding $2 for each additional item. There must be a rule somewhere doing that but I cant find where it is.

I have a standard $1.50 shipping set up in my store and want that amount to go to paypal.

Thanks

Steve

The shipping is being passed to Paypal but they don't display it to the shopper until the second or so screen.

As for the $5 for first product and $2 for each additional it sounds like you have enabled the ShopSite "Base Plus" shipping method with $5 for the base and $2 for each additional item. Check your Commerce Setup > Shipping options and see what you have selected in the top section.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am checking now.

Also found this, I wonder if it is still valid:

To resolve this issue for future orders placed in ShopSite via PayPal, go to go to the Profile -> Shipping Calculations menu in your PayPal account and edit each shipping option listed there (whether it is Active or Inactive) and make sure that the 'Override shipping methods per transaction' radio button is set to 'Yes' for each. Optionally, if you are not using these PayPal shipping calculations for other (non-ShopSite) purposes then you can go ahead and delete them, that should also resolve the issue.

Or your PayPal shipping settings may be overriding your ShopSite shipping settings, see the following ShopSite Knowledgebase article on how to resolve this:

In shipping I have selected flat shipping and then
$1.50 for USPS
$7.50 for ups
12.50 for overnight

Nothing else is selected.

'Override shipping methods per transaction' radio button is set to 'Yes'

In case my last post was not clear;

checking the 'Override shipping methods per transaction' radio button fixed the problem.

All is well at www.indtags.com!
