Create About US, Contact Us pages and edit Index page

ok...I am feeling like a shopsite dork. I have added products and have been stumbling upon most other features that I have needed.....

but I cannot figure out how to put some text and images on to a page to make the About Us, Contact Us pages....

and I want to do more with the INDEX.html page but cannot figure that out either.

HELP!

It's very simple to do. Just create a page in ShopSite with the name About Us and another with the name Contact Us. In the various text fields (text 1, text 2, text 3) enter what you want to say on the pages. Then just assign those pages to your main page and links to them will appear when you publish your store. You may want to assign your main page to each of these pages also so that there will be links back to the main page from these pages.

What more do you want to do on your main page? (note that when you first start using ShopSite it will be in basic editing mode. At the bottom of the Pages screen or the Products screen there is a button to switch to Advanced mode which gives you more options. If the button says Basic Editing you are in Advanced editing mode and if it says Advanced Editing you are in Basic Editing mode.) When in advanced editing mode you have 15-20 fields where you can enter information for your page while in Basic editing you only have 3 or 4.

ok...that makes sense to me.....I actually had about half of that done....but how would I get an image on to the index page or the about us page, then? THANKS!

As far as what else to the index page....I guess I was thinking of placing an image on that as well.....in addition to Text 1,2 & 3

Each page can have one image that you just assign using the image field. If you want more than that they can be included in any of the text fields by including the html for displaying the image. If you aren't fluent in html you can get the proper code by uploading the image in ShopSite under the Images section. Then select the image and click the Edit Image button. The code for displaying the image will appear on that screen in the section "Image tag:" for recent versions (8.2or 8.3). or in older versions the steps would be similar but the text isn't in an text box it just displays as text. The html should look something like this

Using this method you can include as many images as needed on your page.
