back office and the templates

Postby ruthann » Sun Aug 12, 2007 7:10 am

Hi,

I recently needed to divide my products up so that I am using 6 custom templates. These show up on the bottom of the pull down menu. I tried naming them with a _ before the name but they still showed up under all the Shopsite boilerplate menus. I don't want to get rid of them forever...I occasionally look at them to see how the code is written, but I would like to eliminate them from the pull-down list in the back office. Is there any way to do this?

There is no way to get rid of the default ShopSite templates from these pull-downs (or prevent them from displaying first in the pull-downs) without removing them completely.

You can remove them completely by deleting them from the various subdirectories in the [shopping_cart_cgi_directory]/templates/ directory.

Note that an upgrade to a new version will probably re-install all of these default template files.

Is there any way to make it so that my custom templates are at the top of the list instead of after all the default ones?
