DB upload-subproducts appear to be adding not replacing

Post by royhink »

It appears that when I upload my DB, the subproducts are not being replaced with the new list, but being added to.

Is there a way around this?

No, the uploads are additive only and do not replace what is already assigned. You would need to remove all subproducts in the backoffice before an upload to delete previous assignments.

Can I "clear" the fields en masse, then upload the new info?

There is no way to delete subproducts from multiple products at a time. You could use the database management Empty function to empty all products from the database and then upload all the products again. This has drawbacks though in that you will lose all coupon, reward catagory, etc links to the products. And since there isn't a way to import those features I would only delete the products if you aren't using them.
