How Do I add a generic "view cart" link to my menu

Postby drose » Sat Aug 04, 2007 8:36 pm

I need to add a "view cart" link to the shopping cart from the main menu of my site. I cannot find it anywhere. Do I need the storeID in the link code? If so, where exactly do I find that?

Thanks,

DR

Go to Merchandising > Order AnyWhere and view the html of one of your products. The View Cart link will be displayed so you an just copy and paste it to your pages. The StoreID will be an encrypted value that changes each time you view the links on the OrderAnywhere screen but any of them will work fine.

This is the code I find when doing the procedure you described:

<input type=image src="http://69.94.24.87/store/media/viewcart.gif" alt="viewcart.gif" width="75" height="14" vspace="3" hspace="3" border="0" align="bottom" name="View Cart">

That code is for a product that has the ordering options or quantity field enabled and therefore requires a form, which is why the Input type is required. Do the same thing only this time choose a product that does not have ordering options or quantity enabled. (or create a new one that doesn't hvae the options, copy the code and then delete the product)
