Tab Delimited Text Files

I'm having trouble with my database. The Descriptions for my products are very long and have extra tabs and returns. Therefore the database will not upload. Does anyone know if shopsite (or anyone) has an article on how to setup text files? What to look for, what to do and what not to do.
I would like to keep the layout of the database that I recieved for the wholesaler if I can. If I turn the whole description into one paragraph it will up load but becomes very difficult to read.

Tab characters and returns are not valid characters (i.e. they are ignored) in an html file so there is no reason to keep them in the file (and as you have found out they break the ShopSite upload).

If you want returns to display in your html text change them to <br> or <p> characters. You can change the tabs to several non-breaking space (&nbsp;) characters.
