Search Engine Indexing

Postby John » Sat Jul 14, 2007 3:00 am

My ShopSite store is an integration to my Main site URL: www.its-about-time-creations.com. Other than my meta keywords and meta description on my page content options, is there anything I can do to be sure my store pages are being indexed, or do I assume that they are being spidered through my Main site URL? My host doesn't provide reports of my store pages indexing status, only the pages on my main site.

Should I be submitting my store pages manually to the search engines using the subdomaine for each page, and is there a way of finding the status of just my store? Indexed or not indexed?

Any help would be appreciated?

Thanks,
John

Google Site Map

To maximize your search engine saturation odds, you should definitely create a Google sitemap, either using the ShopSite provided utility, see http://www.shopsite.com/help/8.3/en-US/ ... wards.html

or using googles guidelines, see http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/

One other suggestion I have is to consider using More Info Pages, this could greatly increase your search engine saturation and ranking for more keywords.

Thanks Allan for the Information. This being my first attempt at a website leaves me not knowing all the options and tricks of the trade yet. Thanks again for your reply.
