Pages showing up in search results...

Postby jonathanedwards » Tue Jun 19, 2007 10:50 am

I'm having a bit of a problem. When I search for a product at my store http://www.americannutrition.com The results show every page that product is in before showing the actual product pages themselves.

To see what I mean go to the site (the links above) and type acetyl l-carnitine into the search box. I need to find a way to remove all those pages from the search results.

Thanks

Alright, I got rid of all the page links at the top of the search page, but now I get 2 links for the product page per product...One at the top and one below. http://www.americannutrition.com

Sounds like perhaps you just switched the search destinations from Store to More Info for all of your products. This will cause the More Info Page link to be output on the search and there is currently no way to control how this link looks. The other link to the More Info Page is probably coming from your product template.

I would suggest using the other solutions in those old threads, basically switch all your products back to the Store option for Search Destination and then creating a new/empty page template to use as the Link Template Override. See the forum threads I included in my previous posts for more details.
