Ship To Zip Code

How can I take the Ship To Zip Code question/box off of the shopping cart screen?

It asks for it o the checkout screen; the shopping cart instance of it seems to cuase more confusion than anything and I am not basing any costs based on the zip code; but I can't find a check box to remove it.

The zip code entry box will be on the initial shopping cart screen if any of the following features are enabled:

tax by zip
UPS shipping
FedEx shipping
Free Shipping
Custom Shipping Add-on

So the way to remove it would be to disable whichever of these features that you are using that require this field to be on the shopping cart screen.

What if you want to enable free shipping for orders over certain amount and your shipping is by currency? Where it doesn't matter what the zip code is?

If you manually remove the zip code box from the template is it going to flip out and throw bunch of errors or is removing it even possible?

Not possible to remove it if any of the features that Loren mentioned are enabled.
