Shopsite 8.1.3.1 Bug

We are having a problem with the new .Shopsite 8.1.3.1

The sort order doesn't work for the placement of products and pages on store pages. Any newly added products or pages are always added at the end, instead of alphabetically, or however the sort has been specified.

It would appear from the Shopsite Knowlegebase that this problem was discovered in 8.1.2 and patched in 8.1.2.1, but it doesn't work.

This is a major problem for us, as we add numerous products each day, each of which appears on many different pages.

I've had this problem with Shopsite since well back in version 7... they still have not solved it. The problem appears sometimes, and sometimes doesnt...

One workaround (assuming you have sort order set to ascending or something like that on the pages in question):

Highlight all your pages - click 'edit layout'. Make no changes, merely scroll down and click 'save' at the very bottom of the resulting screen. This forces a manual resort of all pages according to the sort preference they have set. This will get your new products where they belong...

Then publish.
