Publishing has slowed to a crawl...

My sites publishing has slowed to a crawl. It is to the point I am no longer able to publish my site complete. It seems to be focused on the Index part of the publish. The pages are created fine but the index all never completes.

It really started to slow down when I mistakenly uploaded 16,000 products (these were from a different file that was not correct) and then deleted them right away without publishing and then published after the deletion. It took a long time to publish then but it did get through it.

The size of the Keywords.gdb file is quite large now. 131,000 KB. I was thinking this might be the cause and that if this file could either be recreated fresh or wiped clean somehow we would then be good to go.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

The keyword.gdb file can be deleted. It will be recreated during the next index of your store. You will have to delete it from the server since there is no interface in ShopSite to delete it. If the file is getting large you may want to reduce the number of fields that you have checked to index.
