The traffic side of the ShopSite Reports gets its numbers by reading your webserver's access log file. This is a function of your hosting service, and your hosting company may rotate this file on a daily or weekly basis to prevent the log file from getting to big (a common practice, and a good practice).
ShopSite only reads from this access log file when you click on the Reports icon. So the fact that some of the days show 0's likely means that on those days you did not visit the Reports function of ShopSite (so it did not read the log file for those days) and once you did visit the Reports function of ShopSite, the webserver access log that contained the traffic hits for those days had already been rotated out of the way by your hosting service.
To get the most accurate numbers from the traffic side of the ShopSite Reports function, you could find out from your hosting company what the log rotation schedule is for your website's access log and then check your ShopSite Reports as close to (but before) that time as possible. Or you can ignore the traffic side of the ShopSite Reports and use Urchin (which is a highly specialized program for just this purpose) for your site traffic reporting.
The Sales side of the ShopSite Reports does not rely on your webserver's access logs, rather these numbers are recorded immediately by ShopSite when each sale is completed, so log rotation will have no affect on these numbers.
