Search Results Prev Nevt Navigation

Postby tom0360 » Tue Sep 19, 2006 11:37 am

My Search Results page does not seem to have a Prev Next Navigation System on it.

I have my settings set to show 10 products per page, but have more products.

Is this something I can add with the [-- PrevNext --]?

I tried with no luck up to this point. I am currently using a custom template for my search pages.

Thank You,

Tom

the [-- PrevNext --] tag only works in a custom page template, not a search template or product template or anything else.

The buttons to get from one search results page to the next (if there are more than one page of results) are output with the search form. The search form, at least on a search results page, is created by the [-- SEARCHRESULT_FORM --] tag.

Thanks Loren that did work.

I do seem to have an isue though with all the buttons to pages that are returned by the [-- SEARCHRESULT_FORM --] tag.

I added 220 products in the database all with the keyword ACE. I then assigned 13 products to pages and set 10 results per page. I then end up with 22 buttons with only the first two with any content and the other 20 with blank pages with just the search term on them.

If i set the results to 20 per page i end up with 11 buttons with all but one going to blanks pages.

I am wondering if maybe my code may be missing some important tags, but will play some more to try and figure it out.

thanks again

Assign the other 207 of these products to pages or set their Search Destination setting (only available in ShopSite Pro) to none, then Publish. That should eliminate the blank pages (with the first option you will now see all the products on these additional search results pages, with the second option you will not see the additional search results pages at all).
