Disabling Shopsite from orders being placed

HI

I posted below in a older topic but figured it would not be seen so am
posting here.

I am currently running Shopsite version 8.01 with Blue tabbed navigation.

I have tried disabling the Add to Cart and View Card images on certain
products but after publishing the images are still there.

What I am trying to do is to disable the online store so orders cannot be
placed but items can be viewed for about a month.

Any suggestions?

The tab theme does not use the add to cart and view cart settings of the
product, it uses hard coded values in the template. So in order to
remove the add to cart and view cart images from your store you will
need to modify the templates. I would make a copy of the ShopSite
templates, make the changes to the templates and then using poweredit
change the templates for the pages and products when you don't want the
images to display. Then when you want to display them again change back
to the ShopSite templates.
