Since we use FedEx primarily I want to put a FedEx Rate finder on my website
for customers to use. My problem is I can't figure out how to make the order
page show weight for the customer? I did upgrade to ShopSite® Pro 8.0.1...is
there something I missed

There is no option to show the weight, either the total weight of the
order or per-product, on the shopping cart screens.
In ShopSite Pro v7.0 or newer there is a Shopping Cart JavaScript
Variables feature, though, that does include the weight of the products
in a JavaScript array in the HTML <head> section of the shopping cart
screens, though, so via custom JavaScript code you could potentially get
this weight information and display it somewhere on your cart screens
(but I don't believe it would be possible to place it in the table of
products in the order). The documentation for the Shopping Cart
JavaScript Variables that are available is located at:

The ability to show the weight of an order in the shopping cart is a very
useful feature and should be implemented in future Shopsite enhancements.
Should be trivial to implement - merely sum like price.
