Gift Certificate Redemption

Just a thought.....

Since a gift certificate is a payment type, wouldn't it make more sense
to have it on the Checkout page near the credit card billing information
rather than on the Cart page?

All calculations are done on the initial shopping cart page so the
shopper knows the final total before having to enter any payment or
billing information.

And if the gift certificate covers the full amount of the order, no
reason to show credit card payment info fields on the checkout page, so
this should be determined before reaching the checkout page where those
fields would otherwise be displayed.
