Shopping Cart/Zip Code Changes

Has anyone had problems with customers being cycled through the checkout
and confirmation pages without being able to proceed because they
changed their shipping zip code on the checkout page and the Shopsite
cart needs them to go all the way back to step 1 to make this correction
(to recalculate the shipping and tax). Is there a way around it?

All calculation are done on the first screen of the shopping cart so
the shopper knows what the final cost will be before they ever enter any
address or payment information. The zip code is checked on the billing
screen or confirmation page prior to the thankyou screen to make sure
that it is the same as was entered on the first cart screen. If it
changed then shipping and tax calculations might not be correct and
different shipping options might be available so they need to go back to
the screen where the calculations are made to have that information
updated.

The only way to help prevent any issues is to make sure that you have
enough explanatory text on the first shopping cart screen stating that
the zip code entered is the SHIPPING DESTINATION zip code and not the
billing address.
