Issue with only one sub-item assigned.

Hi folks,

We are running ShopSite® Pro 12 sp1 r4.0.1 and found an issue that wonder if you can fix. We have items where we have only one sub-item assigned. If one tries to put that item in the cart, they get a popup message saying: "Oops, you still need to select an option". This happens even when one selects the only sub-item.

If you need more information, I can provide it.

I also tested this in our beta site running ShopSite® Pro 12 sp2 dev, and get the same error message.

I can't prove this, but I thought this worked in version 11.

What theme/template are you using?
The error message "Oops, you still need to select an option". seems to indicate that there are product options involved. Does either the main product or the subproduct have options? If so what type of options are enabled, the basic options, Advanced Options, or Advanced options with cascading menus?

A link to the page and product with the issue might be helpful.

Hi Jim,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

We are using the Familiar theme. There are no options defined for either the sub-product or the main product. The only option is for the user to choose the sub-product. If I add an additional sub-product to the one sub-product listed, the problem goes away.

You can see this in our demo site. One such example can be found on page: http://keithdemo.keithspecialty.com/water-line-insert-ss.htm - try selecting and add the item 15-961 to the cart.

I have been able to reproduce the error. I have logged it as a bug for the engineers to work on. In the mean time the only suggestion I have is to not assign a single product as a subproduct, if there is only one subproduct then the product itself should be displayed.

We have already concluded the same thing you suggest we do - if there is only one subproduct, have the product itself displayed.

Thanks for logging it as a bug. We like trying to make Shopsite better.
