Padding is missing!

I'm trying to revise our shopping cart, working on a sample site with 12 sp1 r3.2. My current theme is Boilerplate, but this is a problem with every theme I've tested.

The TOTAL in the bottom right of the theme, along with the "Your total savings" hangs over the border. I haven't adjusted the css, this is all standard theme, and it looks awful. Why, and how can I fix it?

I need to have a border to outline each individual product especially on a simple shopping cart without sidebars. But I can't have half the total overlapping the border. I'd attach a screenshot if I could; I can't send you a link to the store because there aren't any products, I only use the shopping cart with Order Anywhere.

I tried adjusting the bb-basiccart.css by adding right padding to the ordertotal, and I adjusted the name of the .css in my shopping cart. It didn't work. Arrgghhh!!

Okay, I was able to increase the TOTAL by adding right padding (I think it was this line: div#cart-ordertotal {padding: 5px 25px 0px 0px; margin: 3px 0px 0px 0px;}. The right padding had been at 0px)

I can't fix the "Your total savings", which is okay for now because we have few coupons. But this is weird: When there is no coupon or Total savings, the border stops just above the TOTAL, it looks great.

When there is a coupon, the border extends all the way to the bottom of the shopping cart, just above the footer. It butts up to the "Choose Payment Type", Checkout button, etc. The <div id="cart-products"> closes AFTER all those. If a coupon isn't used, the <div id="cart-products"> closes BEFORE the <div id="cart-totals">.

This is the problem, not the padding. How do I fix it?

I can't see an attached screenshot, can you send a link to the screenshot? or a link to a page with an OrderAnywhere button and let me know (you can private message me if needed) what a coupon code is so I can see this issue?
