Offer Paypal but not require "select payment type"

Hi,

I like to keep things very simple, one reason why I love Shopsite is you can make checkout short and sweet and simple.

At this time I offer Visa, MC and Amex payment methods. Customers do not need to select payment method until final checkout, using the pulldown menu.

Now I'm thinking of offering Paypal as a payment method.

My question: if I start offering Paypal will I also have to force customers to select payment type BEFORE going to the checkout screen, even if they will not use Paypal as a payment option? I looked over the forum archives and identified a few Shopsite sites that offer Paypal, but all of them have the "Select Payment Type" on the cart screen (before checkout).

If you offer more than one payment option (Credit Card, PayPal, Check, COD etc) then on the shopping cart screen the pulldown list of available payment options is displayed and they will need to select an option before continuing to the checkout screen.
