Database date field string in a sortable format?

Postby Randall » Fri Jun 01, 2007 12:41 pm

As far as I can tell, when downloading the orders database, the only format available for the date string is "Tue Jan 22 13:53:49 2002". When I import this into a spreadsheet or database program (currently using Access 2000), it is unsortable.

Is there a way to download the date in a sortable format? Preferably date and time as separate fields, in conventional recognized formats?

I thought maybe time and date could be separately incorporated as hidden order page fields, but in ShopSite Help for custom fields I don't see a reference to anything like that.

Alternatively, can Access parse the ShopSite string? If so, what is the procedure and code for that? (However, I'm not proficient at Access, and would prefer not have to rely on it anyway.)
