Hi, I'm wondering if there is a way to offer free shipping on one specific item, and to also remove the optional shipping options on just that one page.

What version of ShopSite do you have? Do your products have a 'No Shipping Charges' checkbox in their Edit Product Info menu? If so, checking this box and this product will no longer be included in any shipping calculations, and if only products with this checkbox checked are in the shopping cart, then no shipping options will be displayed in the cart. Remember that after changing this option for the product you will need to empty your cart if you already have this product in you cart, or else it won';t get this new attribute in the cart.

thanks for the quick reply!

We're running version 8 - we just signed up through our hosting company a few weeks ago...however getting technical help from them is kind of a problem.

I'm using this path to edit my pages:

products>select page in menu>edit product info>

and not seeing any options for "no shipping charges" using this method, should I be approaching it a different way?

I've found that if I assign a product weighing 0 lbs it will exclude a shipping charge, but I want to take the other shipping options off of the page as not to confuse my customers.

Do you have ShopSite Pro, or ShopSite Manager, or ShopSite Starter? If you have Manager or Pro, then you should see the 'No Shipping Charges' option in the 'Shipping and Download Information' (Pro) or ''Shipping Information' (Manager) section of the Edit Product Info menu. This feature is not in ShopSite Starter.

you'll have to forgive me, as I didn't set it up and don't have the confirmation email on what we purchased, is there a simple way for me to check which version I'm running? Thanks!

Once in the ShopSite backoffice, click on the green "ShopSite" text/logo in the upper left and at the bottom of the next page it will say what version and type of ShopSite account it is.
